I recently had a learning adventure that I will probably remember for a good while. It was Sunday morning and I was determined that I was going to get to church on time, which would have been unusual for me. The weather was raining and storming, but it didn’t seem too serious. I usually enjoy storms, because I feel that God’s presence is in the rain, wind, thunder, and the lightning. As I started to walk outside, all of a…..

When a family suffers a loss of a loved one, everyone struggles with grief. Unfortunately sometimes the children unintentionally take a back seat in this process. Life has changed drastically. Everyone is in the self-survival mode. Business details demand immediate attention. School and work continue and each person is expected to do the same. Camp Agape is a bereavement camp for children, ages 7 through 12. Kim Turk founded this camp 17 years ago. It was the first Christian-based nondenominational…..

God has had mercy on us and has chosen this leadership. It was because of God’s mercy, forgiveness, and His hearing our prayers that we have had the freedom of worship throughout the years. He has heard His remnant and has had mercy on us. Just as the terrorists against America are…..

We are truly at God’s mercy with this election. Regardless of who is elected tomorrow, we look to God……

What are some of the lies and false expectations we struggle to achieve or conquer? How many of these illusive expectations do we actually WANT to achieve? We accept all kinds of mistruths and unattainable goals as evidence that we are living our lives to the fullest and with genuine purpose. Some of our illusive expectations may be irritated or challenged by the following questions: What is beauty? What is intelligence? Who is a good person and who is not…..

We are called to glorify God every day of our lives. We are called to rely upon His strength. We are called to be His holy people and give Him offerings in His Holy courts every minute of our lives. Psalm 96:7-9 states that we are to tremble before Him and worship Him. How can we do this when we are overloaded with careers, raising families, taking care of our daily duties, and then trying to get a little bit…..

I spent almost a week at Camp Agape, a bereavement camp for children, which was held at Buckner Camp in Burnet, Texas. I served as a counselor for nine brokenhearted girls, ages 9-12 years old. (The camp accommodates children 6-12 years old and we had 34 boys and girls.) It was a special time for God to use His people to minister to His precious hurting children. Each child had lost a love one (parent, sibling, grandparent etc.). The entire…..
