When we cry out to God, we want here-and-now answers to our prayers.

When we don’t think situations are changing, then we feel rejected by God or that he is punishing us.

God sees the process of waiting and healing differently than we do.

Maybe he sees our difficult relationships as a process that involves continuously submitting, obeying, trusting, and relying on him. Sometimes the process is brief. Sometimes it takes years and years for the process to culminate and become a beautiful creation.  Sometimes we don’t get to see the blessings we have been praying for while we are here on earth.

Regardless of the time element, God is actively participating in our relationship with him.

He may be waiting for us to relinquish our rights, our power, and our plans to him.

He will reveal his love and great majesty when the time is best for us to be able to take it in and for him to accomplish his desires for us. We may not realize that we are growing stronger and deeper in him.

If God seems to be silent, it is for a reason.

He treasures you and wants the best for you.

He will reveal his presence at the perfect time. Broken, difficult relationships will be mended.  Damaged hearts, minds, and souls will be healed.

Keep doing what you know you are to do – pray, follow the Ten Commandments, and persevere.

God is with you. He loves you. He promised you, “Never will I leave you; never will I forsake you.” (Hebrews 13:5)

What security we have in God. All we have to do is our part (faith) and wait for him. This is security!
